I'm October! (yes that's my real name lol)

I’m a part-time digital and traditional illustrator who works full-time as a software engineer.

I paint vibrant, dreamy artwork that spotlights food, botanical subjects, and cute animals. I draw a lot of inspiration from Studio Ghibli, classic anime, Hello Kitty, Nintendo, the Impressionists, and the natural world.

My work is created in Procreate on an iPad with an Apple Pencil. My traditional pieces have been in marker and color pencils for some time, though recently I've been moving towards graphite.

I've been drawing most of my life, but over the past 5 years reconnected with my art after a long hiatus. I realized how important my art is to me and decided that I'd never leave it again. Since then, I've created at least one painting a week almost every week for the past 5 years and I've managed to maintain that consistency.
